A beloved Egyptian actress, Mona Liza first starred alongside the actor Mohamed Henedi in the film “Hammam in Amsterdam”, and then participated in the films “Friends and Business”, “Omar 2000”, and then a lead recurring role in the classic TV series “Morning and Evening Talk”.
Then she joined the cast of “Hakim Oyoun”, a critically acclaimed play, performing for almost 2 years.
She was an overnight sensation despite her short list of work, and at the peak of her fame, had a spiritual awakening.
She retired from the film industry to start her family, raise her children, wearing a hijab from 2002 until 2014. During an interview with renowned her mentor, director and writer Dr. Medhat El-Adl on his show “Enta Hor” (You Are Free) airing on CBC2, Monaliza announced her return to acting, expressing a desire to switch from the romantic, musical or dramatic roles she was famous for, to action movie roles.
She became a Master Reiki healer during this time and discovered a passion for music. In 2024, Monaliza had rebranded herself again, this time as a musician. With management from Destiny Music Group, Mona has been making waves in the “ecstatic dance” scene with her newest singles, she is excited to share her passion and healing vibration for music with the world, also providing Reiki healing sessions online.
